Anyone else getting redirected when accessing the site? I couldn’t get on at all yesterday, I kept getting sent random, spammy looking sites.

On my phone, but not on my Chromebook, I sometimes get a re-direct to some weird sites. I just back it out and then it goes directly to this site. Others have complained about it, but no fix yet.

Using my iPhone too, latest update as of Friday. I usually can back out, but yesterday just wouldn’t work at all. Not sure if I have a bug or the website.

It’s a mess on the iPhone Most of the time. In fact when I clicked on this topic, I got redirected three times in a row.

Been going on for months. It took me three tries this time on my new iPhone 11. Apparently nobody is working on it. So, my advice is to get used to it. This is a helpful forum with lots of great people, tho.

Check this out, the problem could be in your computer/phone. https://smallbusiness.chron.com/computer-keep-redirecting-sites-didnt-ask-for-74395.html

Check this out ... this is the only website where I have experienced the problem. I am not alone in this.

This is the only site that gives me trouble. Once a day on each device it redirects.

Curiously, the little icon that appears on the Shotgunworld page tab at the top of my MacBook's Safari browser screen now shows the little "forward arrow in the red box" icon that usually represents YouTube.

I guess that explains it happening on a brand new tablet fresh out of the box...

You never know what is in that bloatware that comes with your phone/tablet.

Really ? So Samsung installed bloatware that works only for a basically insignificant website like Shotgunworld ?

It's a problem here and nowhere else , ever . It's a problem that has occurred in the past , here and nowhere else .

I like this site , I've learned a lot here . I won't stop coming here because of it . What is hard to understand is that it was always taken seriously and fixed when the site was under it's previous ownership .

I can't understand why the present team can't/won't take it seriously and do away with it . Not a way to grow the site , new users will get it once and be done .

When I say "present team" I'm leaving Curly out of it . His hands are tied . I doubt he can do much other than sending an email .

I suggest you do some googling about redirects. There are some answers on what you can do about it.

I use chrome on an android tablet and an android phone. Popups and redirects are blocked (chrome-settings- advanced- popups and redirects blocked) Shotgunworld and only Shotgunworld still gets redirected.

As noted above, this has happened in the past. Seems to come about every couple years. Eventually someone, somewhere, does something and it stops. It's irritating.
