I decided to try some Nobel Sport target ammo from True Shot Gun Club due to Herters being out of stock at Bass/Cabela and after seeing that the final delivered cost wasn’t much different from the current cost of Super Targets from Academy. 12 ga, #8, 2 3/4”, 1 oz, 1200fps. What’s funny is the item isn’t listed in the product list on the NSI website. I wonder if it is a promotional item just for USA retailers. I was looking for some information on shot hardness. Haven’t shot it yet. But I will say this. Winchester beats the Europeans hands down on the packaging quality. First Rio and now this Nobel ammo come in flimsy boxes with a little piece of weak-assed tape holding the lid closed. It is real easy for the box to break open and the shells to scatter all over the place. By comparison Winchester boxes are like bank vaults.

It means that Europeans do not reload and thus they minimize thew costs associated with packaging something that will be thrown in the trash.

I doubt Win boxes cost more than Rio and Noble. The material is just about the same. But the Win design is much more secure for no added cost. The inner flaps are notched to lock together and keep the shells from spilling out even when the box opens inadvertently.

Unless they are shipped from Midway USA, the last 2 times I had over 100 shells strewn throughout the shipping box, and the shell boxes completely destroyed. cdb

Use these shell all the time. On case 9 of the first 10 purchased. No issues at all. Carry a knife so I simply cut the tape. No problems with the shells, pattern as well as the Rios I used to buy from TrueShot with less recoil.
