Tinker,

What you are pointing out is sometimes true, however on an expensive item such as a $20,000 L,C. Smith Classic American Shotgun, this becomes some serious money. I simply tell the vendor I do not pay extra for using my own credit cards, if he charges the extra 3% or 5% he looses my purchase, most all the time the vendor waves the additional uncharge if he wants to make the sale on the expensive item.

Actually it isn’t your credit card. It is the property of the issuing financial institution. But it doesn’t matter who owns the card. I hate the fee too, but having my name on the card doesn’t keep a merchant from charging me use it.

Tinker,

What you say maybe true, however just stop paying on your credit card bill and you will find out in court who the card legally is credited too. You are responsible for all the bills you incurred with your card, the bank has no legal obligation to pay your bills, even if like you say they own your card.

Nope, the debt is yours, not the card.

Dave,
You are not responding to me. I don't take credit for that post. I don't share that opinion. I share yours.
