Which means it is firearm-related and weapons-related. This has been going on for years. It is called "age-restricted," meaning according to YouTube, under 18 years of age.

I would like to point out that in the video in question, all you really see is a piece of wood and an old guy with a rasp. The barrels are never even seen anywhere in the video. THis is to be contrasted with those videos of a guy with a combat shotgun shooting rifled slugs into a human body shaped ballistic gelatin form containing a skeleton and then examining the destruction that this slug would inflict on an actual person. Youtube is putting them both in the same category, which is absurd.

saying that it is legitimate to call this gun related and restricting its access to children also leads to restricting a video where a guy does a review of an extended vs a flush fitting shotgun choke without ever even showing a complete gun, a gun being fired, the chokes being screwed into a barrel, or even seeing a shotgun barrel in the entire video.

Taking this further, youtube should be age restricting videos of Elmer Fudd waddling along with his double barrel because in the cartoon, a complete gun is seen. The absurdity should not be lost on anybody.

Don't know why this video was age restricted. There are other videos showing stock making that are not age restricted.

Don't be so quick to don the persecution sackcloth and ashes. This isn't just firearm related.

You do understand that these types of decisions are done with mathematical algorithms that are far from perfect. No human eye even looks at your video to decide to tag it. It's all done by computer math. Nor could goggle/youtube hire enough human eyes to do the job due the sheer volume of videos posted each day from around the world.

Even creative artists that make and own their own content get copyright strikes and their videos/music automatically taken down by these same algorithms that tagged your content. And they have no more recourse than you. And by sheer volume there is a whole lot more of that type of content than firearms content.

Be angry all you want, the system needs to be better. But don't feel special about it - you are far from the first and you won't be the last.
