The case that comes with the beretta will do. That's what they use to ship. You can wrap any metal parts in paper to avoid bluing/camo finish from wearing against the had plastic. This is how they ship from the factory.

I would put that Beretta plastic case inside a heavy duty cardboard box for added protection from damage and to somewhat hide what is inside.

My Beretta A400 Xcel Black Sporting I just got was shipped 2500 miles from Stoeger in Ontario via Canada Post to a BC dealer that shipped it another 500 miles via Canada Post to me. All in the plastic Beretta case enclosed in the same single layer Beretta cardboard shipping box that it undoubtably came from Italy to Ontario in.
