Sorry , I know it's a common question. Can't find the search on this site ? Looking for a nice quality Soft case - nicely padded Good zipper , side pouch and carry options. Prefer made in USA if that is even an optio these days Price is not as important as quality. Not sure if Boyt is the only option, made in China I'm sure

I 2nd the case from Midway as I own 2 of them. They have very thick padding, heavy canvas exterior and a brass zipper. Very durable. Mike

I have always liked Wild Hare products: https://www.wildhareshootinggear.com/gun-cases.aspxLeather or material

Zippers and nice shotguns don't go well together unless the zippers facing the gun are covered. Otherwise the zippers can scratch the gun in closing or in transport. I learned this the hard way. I have this softish case and it is excellent. The zipper is covered. Outside pocket zippers don't matter as they don't border or face the gun. https://www.cabelas.com/shop/en/cabelas ... otgun-caseOr, buy a case which doesn't use a zipper to close. I also have this Wild Hare which is end loading and closing. Closure is by flap, velcro and a snap. All metal parts are covered so as not to scratch the gun. https://www.wildhareshootinggear.com/st ... -inch.aspxI looked at a couple of known brand name cases at Bass Pro with uncovered zippers. Passed on them and chose first one of these and then the other. For a quick trip to the range I prefer the Wild Hare. Longer trip or much luggage and handling and I would take the Cabela's Extreme. Just suggestions. I'm sure there are a number of quality cases out there, but I am specific that no uncovered zipper face the gun on any case I buy.

I like the cases that open from the end but if you have to shoot in the rain, there is not an easy way to dry the case.

I scratched a stock on the metal zipper of a nice Boyt Case. I like the case so I now use a gun sock in the case. Also Boyt now has a nylon zipper, which probably works better.

The sights and extended chokes snag on them (I have a Drake that is all ripped inside) and in a tight duck blind I've found them much harder get the gun in and out.

Frost River sells a very nice waxed cloth rug. Croots, from England is first rate and you find it at British Sporting Arms from Millbrook, NY, they have a website.
