I drove 40 miles to a small shop in another town. I bought 8 1 lb bottles of powder and 300 primers but no shells. They had two orphan boxes of .410 @ $20 ea. The clerk said they bought them on Gunbroker. I have plenty of powder, primers, and wads, but now shot is a problem, can't win.

Shot? That’s the component that is available in my area. Scheels generally has Eagle for $39/bag

Thank goodness the Scheels here sells Northwest Magnum instead of Eagle. $5 more a bag but well worth it to me. I am reading of lead shot shortages in a few places around the Country. Hopefully that will not be the case in the long run.

Really hoping that Vista will get STS shot out again and hopefully keep it the hardest shot available for reloading. Time will tell on that one too, I guess. It is anyone's guess.

The local Cabelas (Ne.) had 8 boxes of #9 28ga. which I bought for skeet. They had a few boxes of Win AA 12ga #9 shot which I passed on. They had one four pack of Federal 12ga #8 at over $9 box with tax.
No .410 or 20ga. They had a lot of steel hunting loads.

seen some AA 20ga. shells today, and the same 28 ga. shells that's been there at least a year now.
I couldn't bring myself to even pick up a box of the AA's for 11.99 and look at them.

Local gunshop has lots of fiocchi target at $12 a box, not flying off the shelves. One way to stop hoarding is to set the price past the threshold of pain.

Elasticity of demand curve at work.

It has been worse the last three weeks or so than it was before but I still find at least six to 10 four packs at Walmart every week. I only buy one or two to replace what I shot.

A lot of people got the stimulus money who don't really need it and are just having a free for all with the money. the local farm store last week had 4 pack's of AA trap loads for $49.00. much to My surprise they All sold as well as a whole stack of clay birds that are double the price that Wal-Mart has them for.
It's going to be a bumpy ride................glad I kept My reloading equipment .

I don't think it's just Oklahoma State alumni causing the problem.

If you’re referring to boomers, that is OU Sooners, not OSU Cowboys.

We are the “Cowboys”, that other school is the “Sooners”. Their fight song is “Boomer Sooner”; the ONLY two words sung throughout the entire song!

Brownell's has had Lawrence Magnum at $50/bag delivered on and off again

I assume you don’t care for OU being confused with OSU, which was my point.
