 Post subject: Cleaning a bird that is to be "stuffed".

How should one clean a bird that is to be mounted? I want to mount the four major grouse here in WY, sort of a "grand slam" if you will: Ruffed, Blue, Sharptail, and Sage.
How do I go about this?

Yep, don't. The Taxidermist has his way to prepare the birds and most use a scalpel, a soap solution to wet the feathers, etc. Doesn't hurt to carry a couple and allow him to choose the best for the pose that you are after.
