Hi All,

Need to ask a rookie question. I constantly hear the term looper associated with chandelle. Is there an actual difference or are these “regional” ie gauge vs. bore. If there is a difference, is there a different technique for breaking them?

Thanks in advance,

Fred

Chantelle or looper just means that the target is thrown in a curling line. To shooters who can hit them they are just a target but to shooters who can’t they are “Bloody Curlers”.

They have a curling line and are most often missed under or inside the arch. Shooters often misread the target as a dropping line when in reality they are just a simple crosser. While the target is dropping for every foot it drops it mover 10-15 feet to the left or right! Shoot them like a crosser at 3-3:30 or 9:30-9 o’clock and you will be pleased with the result.
