I just recently scored a late '50s J.P. Sauer.

It's in pretty nice shape. It's been hunted for sure, but whoever the original owner(s) were, it was cared for.

At any rate, the front bead is missing, and I'd like to replace it.

First, does anyone know what the thread size would be? I'm assuming it's a metric, but I don't want to buy a stack of beads to trial/error.

Second, would the original have been brass or ivory?

Thanks in advance,

3drahthaars
