How much lighter are the Muller Fabarm chokes verses factory chokes? Tenn

Hi Tenn, the Fabarm Exis HP chokes weigh approx 50 grams each.
Muller Featherlites weigh approx 18 grams each.

I also have the New H20 Waterfowl/Hunting Series in Hardened Stainless Steel. These weigh approx the same as the factory chokes.

For those reading this 28 grams = 1 oz. So for an O/U that is 68 grams or 2.28 oz decrease.

I did buy a U0, U2, and U3. The U2 is within a .001 or .002 of my factory no. 4 L.M., and U3 is very close to my no. 5 factory choke. So I was pleased. Have not had a chance to try them out, been out chasing the big birds. Tenn.

Hi, although the chokes measure similar, do not be fooled by thousandths of an inch constriction. Geometry is primarily the most important part of the functioning of a choke. Constriction amount is grossly 2nd or even third important. We have all been misinformed by many people and places about chokes.
You can take two chokes from the same manufacturer that measure identical on the exit diameter and they will pattern totally different.
