On the other hand, I have seen the prices of V3s via online stores like GrabaGun and Buds jump up over $100 lately.

Sort of doubt those are marked down to $249

I'm a blued steel and Walnut guy, but I picked up a 12 for the wife to use duck hunting and the 20 gauges are youth models with short stocks (with spacers to lengthen as the kid grows) and 21" barrels.

This post prompted me to take a short walk from the oil change area to the nearby gun area of my local Walmart. Sure enough they had three in stock on closeout for $299. Regular price was $479 as I recall. All were 28 inch, black plastic, 12 ga.

I tried to talk myself into one as a spare, loaner, or rainy day dove and waterfowl gun. But I just couldn't do it. They just don't appeal to me. I'd rather pay more for a walnut V3, Affinity 3, Fabarm, or any one of several other autoloaders I like better.

Nothing wrong with an 1187. And that's for sure a good price. But that iteration is just not for me.

Anyone have a sku? My local Walmart didn’t have one. I would like to check others in the area.

Yeah I was most interested in them as guns for the kids and a duck gun for the wife (she has a Mossberg 930 now, but the design doesn't allow for shortening the stock, so I picked up an 11-87 for her and will sell the 930).

I hate that everyone has gone to flat black and plastic stocks now. I am going to try to "polish a turd" on a 20. I have a claro walnut stock I picked up a few years ago, and am going to rust blue the receiver and pick up a 28" Premier barrel and hopefully a nice walnut forend to put on it. If I sell the short barrel and plastic stock set to someone wanting to put together a youth gun hopefully I'll come out with out much additional $$$ and can have one that's pretty to look at.

Wish I'd bought more of those Claro Walnut stocks when Remington Country store had them for $45 or so.

I found two places locally that had them for $124 (!) and both were out of stock. :-(

Post your zip code and I'll use an app I have to see if there are any left around you.

A member here got the last 20 gauge in my area yesterday afternoon at $124. 12's have been gone for a while.

I'd like to thank Jeepwm69 for sharing information from his app. He located a 20 ga. 11-87 at one of my local stores priced at $124. Due to social commitments over the holiday weekend, I didn't act until this morning. The guy at the gun counter told me I was one day too late! :(

I sure wish I had found a way to get free for a few hours and run to that Walmart!

I was lucky enough to snag a 12ga for $249 and a 20ga for $124.

Now that they are down to $89, I feel like I got ripped off!!!!
