I have a MX2000/3 with fixed choke barrels which I love. A friend is selling his MX2000/3 barrels with Briley’s thin wall chokes and I am tempted to buy it so I can have a do-it-all gun.

Any long term issues (e.g., uneven wear, etc.) I should be aware of from fitting a second barrel to the shotgun? Thanks.

Some barrels fit with no issues, other barrels require a new locking block and maybe adjustments to the forearm.

Thanks. I do not plan to simply drop the barrel in but rather have Perazzi USA or Giacomo Sporting do the the fitting. Just curious whether there are other things I need to be aware of — plan to shoot the gun forever (sold my flat rib High Tech Lusso because the mid rib in MX2000/3 fits my shooting style better).

you'll be fine if you let these guys fit your bbls. I have had bbl sets that snapped in just fine and others that required a little fitting.

Enjoy.
