Ok since there are no takers...I'll answer my own question since I now have a Viper G2.

The ejector is a very small rectangular protrusion on the inside of the barrel extension. The bolt face has a small cut-out on the left side that the ejector moves through when the bolt travels rearward.

And has worked unfailingly for at least 2,000 shells on my Tristar.

From the pictures I found on-line, the 1100 has the ejector mounted in the side of the receiver. It can also be removed. The Viper G2 ejector is part of the barrel. It is solid and very small. If you have access to one check it out.

ETA: You are correct, the pic I saw was for the 870!

If you have one, do they wear out? Can it be replaced as a part?
