Hi,
I am trying to restore a BSA 200 semi auto 16 gauge. I want to find out which company in Turkey manufactured the BSA semi autos so that I can maybe utilize parts from similar models. I bought the BSA about 15-16 years ago, and soon after purchase learned that there were lawsuits stemming from the shotgun being unsafe/firing out of battery. The firearm import division of the company went bankrupt in the early 2000's. The gun I have has been used a lot, but mainly for informal clay target shooting. It has fired out of battery on occasion and now the shell lifter and action bar are bent, and I can't get them straightened out enough to function. I may sell this one off as a parts gun and just get a new Tristar Viper 16 gauge. The BSA was a cheap Turkish semi auto in 16 gauge, and worked well for a time. I put a few thousand rounds through it and it just didn't hold up. I know Numrich has some parts for them available at times, but it seems as the 16 gauge was an odd ball. Anyone know if the receivers are the same for 12, 16 and 20 gauges, or they are scaled for the gauge offered?
