Running out of my normal 20 ga hulls and only thing available were some Fiocchi hulls. I can't for the life of me find a recipe that either has components I can get or components I have. Loads are for sporting clays; 7/8th lead 7.5 shot @ about 1200 fps. I have a ton of Universal powder so I only can change the wad.

Here is what I have on hand:
Fiocchi Hulls 2 3/4 20 ga
Fiocchi primers fio 616
Unique powder
WAA20 equivalent wads (CB1078-20 20ga)

Running out but was using per Alliant's site:
Fed hull
Fed 209a primer
Unique 16.5 grn
waa20 wads (not the greatest fit)
7/8 oz lead - 7.5 shot being used

BPI offered the following recipe data:
Fiocchi Hulls 2 3/4 20 ga
Fiocchi primers fio 616
Unique powder 18 grn
SG20-M (out of stock, cant find an equivalent; maybe fed 20S1 if I can find it?)
1 oz lead load (would prefer to load 7/8 oz)
10800 psi at 1220 FPS

I can't seem to find another wad or data... any suggestions? My kids shoot these rounds out of a semiauto so not to keen on blowing them up. Again, appreciate the thoughts.

Find a straight wall hull load for any hull with the components you want. Color or name on the side doesn't matter. The Federals you are using prolly have the least amount of volume in the hull of any of the SW hulls. Hence, you may be stuck with a 1 ounce charge to keep your stack height sufficient to prevent dished crimps. But,, as many here suggest, (I've never done) put a Cheerio or a dry bean in the bottom of the wad to take up some room.

Try these two sites for some options, look for different component variations to fit your bill

Pulled the Hodgdon data for unique from a fiocchi hull and federal hull. Very interesting. I did double check and universal is right next to unique on the hodgdon burn table with Universal being a little slower. Alliants data wasn't as extensive and I am not sure it helped much.

I went ahead and picked up some Fed 20S1 wads as they should fit much better than the tapered WAA20. I did find Windjammer instock online but I think its a tapered wad so wouldn't help any over the WAA20.

Looks like using the Fiocchi Hull and FIO616 primer I can drop the same 16.5grn of Unique I had been using for the federal hull.

I think I will plan on the 7/8 oz lead load with 16.5 grn of unique in the Fiocchi Hull 2 3/4" with FIO616 primer and the Fed 20s1 over the WAA20 wad (due to fit) But when I am out of the fed 20s1 I can use up the WAA20 with 17 grn of unique.

Is this reasonable?

Looks good to me. when ya run out of wads, and if'n ya want a wad that will work with any of those hulls from 3/4 oz to 7/8, get you some Gualandi SG20L or SG20M wads, I prefer the 20L They are the shizz, and will adapt to different volumes very well with their little collapsible cushion section.
