Might be interested, very tight budget. Single shot and/or break action. In Arizona would be great.

most of the single barrel 20ga guns are very light with a sharp recoil because of the light weight. you don't want to turn her off of shooting with a bad experience. what is your budget?

I am looking at the Hatfield break action at 118 bucks new, so I guess that says it about my budget.

I am a reloader, and plan to make up low recoil shells to get her started.

Thanks!

An inexpensive pump like a Mossberg 500, that fits like a shotgun should would be a far better choice. A cheap single shot will slap the snot out of anyone. It's sure to turn her off. And a youngster trying to decock one is plain dangerous.

OP, there is an Beretta A400 20 gauge that has been shortened to 13 inch LOP for sale in the classifieds. Can't think of much better for someone growing up to learn to shoot. Price seems very reasonable to me. Check it out. I don't know anything about seller.
