Looks like a Montefeltro is around $1k, and the silver is $525-ish more.

I like the appearance of the silver a little more, but does it warrant the additional cash?

What says you?

$525ish is a very conservative estimate.
I looked and saw $550 and way up.
But only you can decide if it's worth it. These days with most people passing on the frills
and buying basic the Monte Silver with it's gold flushing birds on one side and Setter
on the other will be sort of unique.
If it was me I would pass though.

Hey if you want to put a price on pretty, sure why not. I went with the Franchi Affinity Select, for a couple hundred more it had nicer wood and flashier action. I still take it in the field.

I went for it. $501 in extra cost. It will serve me well on my hun and quail adventures.

Well who ever sets up the Gunbroker website thinks you have excellent taste.
Because on the home page they have pictures of a rifle a pistol and a shotgun
with a link to take you to each category.
For the shotgun picture they chose a Benelli Montefeltro Silver.
Which ever Monte you decided on was already guaranteed to be a great choice.

It seems my biggest shotgun buying regrets have been not upgrading wood or aesthetic options when buying guns that turned out to be life-long favorites.

You avoided potential regrets by buying the pretty version! Congratulations! Shoot it in good health. {hs#

Can't wait to get it in hand! The wood is absolutely phenomenal on this particular gun.

Exactly.
I’d probably go for it, except I have a Benelli Legacy with a silver receiver.

To me, it's not. Then again, I'm cheap. I have 2 of the standard Montefeltros, a 12 gauge and a 20 gauge. They function great, and I like the look of the blue/black and the walnut. Maybe I'm a no-frills guy, but I paid $850 for each of the guns, so I saved over $1000 in purchasing the standard versions. I am going to use that savings to put toward the purchase a Browning A5 Sweet 16. That way I have a 12, 16, and 20 gauge inertia gun.

My son got one today. There's a pretty cool way to get one right now with a DU sponsorship. The tax advantages from being a sponsor and no sales tax can get your attention....
