Will a Remington 1187 barrel fit on my 1100 LT 20 ga? Can I shoot 3 in shells in my 1100LT if the 1187 barrelfits

Are you intending to buy an 11-87 barrel, or you have one on hand you’re wanting to try because it accepts 3” shells?

An 11-87 20 gauge barrel will fit, and function, on an LT-20 Model 1100, BUT the fore end will not fit properly. Material will need to be removed from the inside front of the fore end because the 11-87 barrel gas ring is longer than the one on an 1100. The fore end is what holds the barrel firmly in the correct position. Not too difficult IF you have the correct long shank Forstner bit. Or buy an 11-87 fore end.

The only way it will work with 3” shells if the LT has a magnum receiver

There is absolutely NO difference between a standard LT-20 receiver and a Magnum one other than the rollmarking.

Ejection port the same? I have never checked and don’t own an LT magnum at the moment. Not questioning your post, just would like to know

Ejection port is identical. I measured many and weighed them on an electronic industrial scale calibrated in grains.

That’s good to know! Might take a notion to build a new turkey gun some day.
