No question the gun is worth the price tag. I have handled and shot one and it was dynamic with minimal recoil.
Just buy 2 and you can always sell the second one as NIB.

If you`re going to do it, now`s the time most probably. Who can know what will happen with prices of existing inventory, much less continued production.

What parts? Parts are not a problem-- Remington tends to over-produce in that department. My V3's have been flawless and I've hunted them hard for years by now. You can get complete stock sets for less than $100; Remchokes are about as common as dirt. The V3 has been in production for over 4 years, and it isn't a limited edition. I have replaced no parts in mine.

If someone is really worried-- well, buy two of them.

Thanks Randy....as always, greatly appreciated.

Have you figured it out yet?

So it's actually for my 16 year-old son. He's narrowed it down to either the V3 or the Affinity 3. We live in rural Utah and no local shops have them in stock. We're hoping to travel here in the next week or so and find a shop where he can swing both and see which he feels fits him better.

I really appreciate all the input. It clearly sounds like he should have no qualms about going ahead with the V3 should he decide it fits him well.

Thanks again everyone.

If you want a V3 I would get it now. Discounted prices are gone. As far as the gun goes, its the best and most reliable auto I own.
