Anyone able to purchase one of hold one yet? After having a Maxus for 3 years I have some reserved thoughts on this. The Maxus is fine how it is. I love Brownings. But this looks like it needed a new name. It honestly looks like Browning (Maxus name, and bolt body) Winchester (for the bolt release and raised rib), Benelli (cheek piece), Beretta (black grips), and Franchi (charging bolt) got together and had a kid. It looks like suggestions from 3 gunners or snow goose hunters had opinions on it. Let me know what you all think. Thanks

I'll keep my Max5 Maxus too.
Not saying I wouldn't buy one to try out though.... just so different.
This happens as soon as I decide I would like to purchase a Maxus Hunter. Love Brownings hot blue and wood guns. Maxus II in Max 5 looks pretty slick.

I love how my Maxus looks and feels.
The new one looks great. Just should have been named something else.... IMO.
I do whole heartedly disagree giving it a raised rib and a magazine cap. Then, calling it a Maxus.

Browning should have named it the Maxus SX4,because it looks like a Winchester SX4.

There is no raised rib. This is just like the previous Maxus.

This is just like the previous Maxus. The original Maxus is flat from reciever through rib to bead like the new A5. I have both of these shotguns. If you look at the new pictures of the Maxus II it is a vent rib like the Silver or SX4. Slightly raised at reciever and tapers down.
