I am looking to buy an XLR5 but want to shoot one first. I shot a right handed Gryphon but the recoil was significant. I shoot a 1940s A5 and SBE2, among others, so not extremely recoil sensitive. I assume it may be the issue with the cast, but have shot a few RH Guerinis and not had this much trouble. Is there anyone between DFW and Wichita with one I could put 50 rounds through?

https://www.michaelmurphyandsons.com/ Don't know if they stock Fabarm or have pre owned. They are in Augusta KS.

M/M & Sons are not a Fabarm dealer. Marc might have a used one on the shelf, but it would be "by accident."

H&H Shooting Sports in OKC and Taylor Made Guns in Manhattan, KS are probably the Fabarm dealers closest to Wichita. I do not know if either has demo guns.

I am left handed and had a left handed XLR5 for a short while. I decided I am an over/under guy and sold it but did notice that it had significantly less recoil that any O/U I own. Not enough of a factor to get me to shoot a semi but less. Good luck in your search.

Why did you end up selling it? Just because it wasn't an over under? My o/us are pretty nice and was looking for something to shoot when it was wet out.

Yes, I sold it because it was a semi. The main club I shoot at wants us to pick up our hulls and that got old really fast. I know it sounds petty but what can I say?

Mojo sticks are great for picking up hulls.

I have a XLR5 Long Rib. I bought it about 6 years ago. I even bought a second one 3 years ago. I shoot a lot of targets and the Fabarm is the softest shooting shotgun I ever had. It will handle 3/4oz reloads @1300fps. If recoil is your main concern don't worry about it.The first one I bought I didn't even handle it, I just read reviews and ordered one from a distant gun store.
