New to the forum. Been looking to get a Retay gordion upland 12 gauge. I was hoping to get some info and opinions if anyone had some experience with them. I’ve handled the plastic stocked models and they fit nice but I am wanting a wood one. If anyone has some pictures of theirs Id appreciate it I can’t find any good ones online. Thanks in advance.

SClagg is a member here. He is awesome when it comes to finding these guns and coordinating with the manufacturer if you want to upgrade the wood selection.

And Randy Wakeman has the scoop on Retay with regard to the offerings and performance. He is a great resource. Not to mention being the owner of that beautiful shotgun!

I second this. I just ordered a Fabarm from him and he has been great to work with on the sale.

Thanks for replies. I’m also considering a Montefeltro but honestly the plastic trigger guard on a nice walnut gun is a big turn off for me. So Randy besides the heavy trigger would you say the Gordion is comparable to the Montefeltro in function fit and finish?

It is better in function, as there is no Benelli click possible with the Gordion. As you noted, the Gordion has a machined alloy trigger group . . . not chintzy plastic.
