Compared the Mossberg SA-20 with the Weatherby SA-08 and eventually decided that I wanted to get the Mossberg. The problem is that I can't find a brick and mortar business locally that sells them.

Was told by the local BassPro store that it's been discontinued (since it's Saturday I can't call Mossberg to confirm). I suspect that the info from BassPro might mean that the margins on the guns have a big enough delta between them, that one is simply more profitable for them to sell.

Hope I didn't miss the production window. I did that when Weatherby was making the SSC o/u, and have regretted that for at least a decade.

It's still on their website.
It is very popular and in demand.
However don't fret too much if it's indeed discontinued.
The Tristar Viper G2 20ga. is the same gun with a prettier finish.
