which semiauto is best for competition?

Which semiauto would you choose for clay competition if cost not an issue? Not considering o/u because my daughter is rather recoil sensitive. Looking at beretta Multitarget, Xcel Black, etc.

Fabarm L4S Syren. Especially if you want the lowest recoil.

A400 with the Kick-Off recoil reducer. Amazingly soft shooting.

Thanks everyone. Dropped by local gun store yesterday to check out the Beretta A400. No doubt a great shooting gun but couldn’t get past the flimsy recoil spring plastic sleeve (must be a pain to replace recoil springs). Can’t believe they used the same plastic sleeve in the Multitarget, a $2800 gun. Picked up a used Beretta 390 sporting instead.

It’s no big deal to replace the recoil spring in an A400. I prefer the black finish.

A400...! Get the right shim and don’t worry about the plastic parts when you are crushing clays!!

I'm really liking my new A400 Xcel Black 30" sporting with Kick-off. The 19 year old Beretta 391 30" Sporting is great too.

Hard to say that it is best, but my daughter's Beretta 391 is a splendid gun that has been versatile in all types of claying shooting for a long number of years.

The word “best “ is certainly subjective. Beretta has a variety of past and present editions that are all excellent. I have had tremendous experiences with both the 391 and A400 platforms.

I have not owned Fabarm but know several shooters that did and swear by them. The original Fabarm editions were big heavy guns but the new stuff I have shouldered feel great in the hands

Know a bunch of guys that run benelli as well. Totally different experience with the inertia action

Matching up with the best fit is a great first step. The competition made products are all quite reliable
