I do not and I had a senior moment when I first read your post, my brain was thinking Clay Target Nation so I have not seen the article. First I've heard of the publication, but will subscribe now to check it out, thanks for the heads up.
I ordered the MayJune 2020 issue, hopefully that is the one with the article?

Thanks Rooster - good article. Shima is big on this. I've seen him reference it many times before, and he keeps on it. To him, it's that important.

I like his concept of when you watch the target break, the important aspect is to continue seeing it after you hear the report of your gun, not really if it breaks or not. Believe I will try that for a complete round of sporting (100) tgts. in a NSCA registered main event, and see how much mental energy and discipline it requires, not even focusing on score - bet it's a lot.

Also very good - USAS - "What it Takes to Look at a Target" (scroll way down)

The above article is by Dean Clark, US Army Coach. The eyes still have it.

Is ClayShooting USA the one that seems like mostly a catalog of shooting stuff with a few articles thrown in?

I read Shima every month. Because of those articles, I also bought two of his books. He has a lot of excellent info on the mental game ;)

If I could only keep one shooting-related book, it would be Shima's "The Moment of Truth".
