Does this stuff really work on the back of a recoil pad??
will it peel off, or turn white? I shoot without pre mounting the gun... :)

A friend of mine used it to keep his KickEez pad from hanging up on his shirt as he mounted the gun. It worked, but eventually cracked and peeled. You can correct that by re-applying it.

Somebody said you can do the same thing with clear fingernail polish, but I've never tried it.

You don't want to put it on the face of the pad, just around the edges. If you put it on the face, the gun will tend to slip off your shoulder between shots on doubles.

To a point, Yes, Do I like it, NO. If you put it on a hard pad it will work fine but if you put it on soft pad like MrBen said it will crack, then start to peel off an look like crap. I tried to recoat the pad with after it peeled an that made it look worse. Don

It does work, and will outlast anything I have tried to duplicate it with 100-1. The problem with it is the expense, and it needs to cure 8-12 hours before using.

I like the whole pad covered, then sand a small area in the center til I get the amount of grab that I want.

TT

you can take electrical tape, wrap it around the edge of the pad and accomplish the same thing. Looks about as good as Slickeze, will definitely do in a pinch.

Good quality electrical tape works best.

The problem with electrical tape on your shotgun is that it looks just like electrical tape on your shotgun.

Slick-eez works. Eventually it does crack and peel off, but they give you enough to apply at least a dozen times. It sticks to Kick-eez pads quite well, but not so well to other brands. It peeled off my Pachmayr Decelerator pretty quickly. Slick-eez on a Kick-eez lasts a season or more, then just reapply.
