After lotsa years, I think it is time to replace my Barbour mesh shooting vest. I love the Barbour vest because it is tailored for a slim fit and leather details. Barbour is long out of the shooting vest business so it seems my choices are the Beretta and the Castellani. Any suggestions, comments.

In my experience Beretta vests run a full size small. If you wear a “Full”, order an “X Full”

I shot today in 10 degree F with a brisk wind. I can't think about "warm weather" anything.

Shoot The Moon. Mine is about 6 years old and still going strong. Great folks to work with. A couple years ago I snagged the mesh part on something and tore it. Called them and they fixed it and you couldn't tell where it had been torn. https://www.stmgear.com/store/comersus_ ... Category=6Almost forgot...If you need to tweak the sizing or want the colors a little different, they'll work with you for stuff like that as well.

I've been shooting my shoot the moon vest for about 10 years. Can't go wrong with them. Only thing ld change is the leather pad, I'd go with a lighter color due to the heat it creates

Browning. Much of it is mesh. It has a pocket for a recoil pad, though I find their pads too thick for me to feel my gun mount so I cut down a Beretta pad. And the vest is not expensive.

Definitely go with Wild Hare. I got one for Christmas (at my suggestion) and should have purchased one long ago. Not only warm but great pocket configuration.

I just got a Browning Trapper vest from Browning for $39.99. They had a Presidents day sale. I went bak to their site a couple of days ago and still saw the sale prices.

The "Shoot the Moon" all mesh vest arrived in just over 3 weeks. https://www.stmgear.com/store/comersus_ ... dProduct=7I sent my chest, waist and hip measurement and could not be happier with the fit and quality. They were super to deal with and I did ask for a seperate leather patch for the off shoulder and a palm patch for the left pocket to match the one on the right pocket. Nice details but 20/20 hindsight, probably didn't need either. Count me in as a very satisfied customer.

The BSA vests are very nice, and close to Barbour "clones."

I just bought a NICA on sale full leather on shooting side and leather covered shoulder area on off side dual pockets in front, mesh back with room to hold empties. It seems, like Beretta, they run just a tad small, but if you are looking for slender fit anyways, shouldn't be an issue - and a LOT less expensive than Castellani.

I have a Shoot the Moon vest, and like everything about it EXCEPT the cheap microfiber pocket trim on the top of the shell pouches that should be leather for the price. The fit is excellent, as you pointed out.

I love the rest of the vest so much that detail really doesn't bother me.
