It would help if you would explain what you intend to use the gun for. That said, a 12 gage gas operated auto loading shot gun is a good first choice for many. Online brokers will have choices, but COVID panic buying and hoarding dried up supplies.

It's OK. There's a secret account of large amounts of American money held in reserves to pay for shotgun. The second registered secretary to the most high director of East Mustardstan wants to begin shooting sporting skeets.

Welcome David90. I know you joined this forum hoping you’d get an easy clear answer to your question. The problem you’ll run across is you’ll get many different answers, because most people are loyal to a particular brand and will claim what they own is the best without having any experience with other brands and models. Patently Obvious is correct. You need to give more information as to your intended uses for a shotgun. There is no “best all around shotgun”. Most are designed for specific uses. There are home defense models, tactical models, skeet/trap guns, waterfowl hunting guns, and upland game hunting guns just to name a few types.

There’s also several action types. Auto loaders (my favorite), pumps, break actions (such as over and unders, sxs, and single shot), and even bolt action shotguns. There are likely some I’m leaving out, but those are the most popular. You also need to specify what your budget is. Shotguns range anywhere from $200 to several thousand $$$. Lastly, you should specify if you are looking for a particular gauge. There are many options there as well, however, the two with the most readily available ammunition are 12 gauge and 20 gauge.

Give us a bit more information, and the opinions will start pouring in. Take it with a grain of salt though. Most are gonna say theirs is the last word on shotguns, but it’s just their own opinion. In the end you are the one who is gonna shoot it. We can give you options to consider, but you are the one who has to choose what gun fits you best. Good luck in your search.

Another "one and done" poster. Seems to have been a number of those in recent times.
