I use a first year Remington 1100 mag. 12 gauge. I’ve used it since 1993 and it was used pretty hard by a duck hunter before I got it. Most of those years I used a cantilever remchoke barrel with a OEM rifled choke. I just sold that barrel and switched to a fully rifled version in 2019. For slugs, I used Winchester BRI sabots until I couldn’t find them anymore and switched to Lightfield Lites. With the new barrel I tried Federal Sabots last year and this year I hand loaded some using Hornady 300 gr .45 xtp bullets with ccs sabot. That new load is a winner and I will likely never use factory slugs again. John

Deerslayer Model 870 Buck Special B-2000 Seems like an 1100 at one point too.
All 12s, never mattered much.
Whichever foster shot the best in each.
Just a good deal to kill deer, Ohio has waaay too many.

For years I used a Remington 870 magnum with a cantilevered choke tube barrel with Buckhammer slugs it would shoot 3 inch groups at 100
I have since moved to a 20 gauge H&R ultra slugger. And I love that gun and shoots 2 inch groups at 100, with a little less recoil
