If Stevens did not make any commercial guns from 1915 to 1920 why is there a copy of the 1918 Stevens sales catalog for sale on gun broker??

FWIW I have J. Stevens Arms Co. paper dated 1917, 1919 and 1920, and a J. Stevens Arms & Tool Co. General Catalog No. 54 with a J. Stevens Arms Co. paste-over label. Also, a couple of undated catalogs which from their content might well be from that period.

I own a 335, 12 gauge, serial number 35974. My dad bought it somewhere in the last 1960’s in Minnesota, had the barrels shortened, legal length, and used it primarily as a grouse and pheasant gun.

Hello, first post here. Inherited a Model 335 12 gauge and would like help identifying what year of manufacture. Side plates stamped "J Stevens Arms Company", "MODEL 335" on action bottom, and serial number A127XX on lower receiver. "12 GAUGE" stamped on left barrel. Black hard plastic butt plate with horizontal grooves and plastic plate on end of pistol grip. No markings as to choke type. The gun seems to have a tight lockup and I would think about shooting it with 2 3/4" shells. Any idea about shotgun vintage? drayks

Found another 335 today. It's a 16 GA, serial # 533XX, marked "J. Stevens Arms & Tool" with 26" barrels, "Pat'd Mar 19, 1907". On another site it's said to have been mfg between 1912 & 1915. Pretty decent survivor. Tight, no dents, no stock wobble, barrels 50% blue turning plum, 50% color case viewable. Checkering barely viewable but no serious flaws to wood. Low brass can killer. Lots of cans around now that I'm told to stay home by the CDC. Praise God, I have acreage in the woods!

I have the stevens arms and tool co. model 335 serial number is 31145. is this mean its 1910-15 range. hard to find info on this. its a double barrel and not sure if its 12 or 16 gauge. is the best way to measure the opening or try a 12 gauge see if it fits? it was my great gramps gun. It’s a 28” Barrel and I couldn’t fit a 12 gauge round so I assume 16? have had it in a safe for 20 years

Hi all - this is my first post here. I have purchased a Model 335 12 gauge from an auction then found this forum on Google. The gun was supposedly in a collection in St. Louis. It is worn and no longer blue, but an interesting mottled case hardened look. The side plates are stamped with a scrolling banner inside a flowing foliate design that says "J Stevens Arms Company" with "Chicopee Falls, Mass. U.S.A." below that in the banner. The action bottom says "MODEL 335." The serial number 9337 on the lower receiver has uneven spacing and an "A" precedes it on a small angle on a slightly lower line, so it appears hand stamped. At the rear of the mechanism under the safety tang it also has A9337 which again looks hand stamped due to it being on an uneven line. The barrels are 18 3/8" which I believe were cut down. The serial on the plate mechanism under the barrel is 90056. It has a black hard plastic butt plate that says "Stevens" in a scroll that forms an "S" with horizontal grooves. The pistol grip ends with a black plastic plate rather than the rounded butt. It seems to have a tight lockup, but the firing pins interfere with the ejector mechanism. There are two screws missing. There was a screw holding a trim piece between the barrels about 16" from the mechanism, and another missing from the right side plate. Does anyone have an assembly drawing for this mechanism?
