Here are some pictures of a Beretta SxS, I believe it was made around 1950 maybe 1951, but that is all the information I have been able to garner so far. I am also trying to get a value on this gun if I can. The barrel is 30" and has sling swivel. The overall condition of the gun is excellent. I've never seen one like this minimal to no engraving.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Welcome to SGW ! ! {hs#

It looks like you might have a P. Beretta Vittoria Model 401.

The sling loops usually indicate a European marketed SxS shotgun.

The true value is how much dinero somebody's been willing to pay for one recently, not whenever.

Beretta hammer guns are rarely found F/S in the US, so although the best way to find today's value would be to surf online guns-only auction websites for completed/sold M-410's in like condition, you might be S.O.L. on finding a comperable to get a value..

Remember, when surfing auctions, "opening bids", "buy it now" & "reserve" dollar amounts are not values - they are indicators of guns that have not been sold, for whatever reason.

In any event, it's usually never a mistake to buy any Beretta shotgun - and if you like a hammer gun, so much the better (I use a 20ga hammer gun, myself)
