Hello all,

I came across an old JP Sauer 16 gauge SxS and was wondering if anyone could help me identify the model as well as if the price they are asking ($650) is appropriate.

Based on the SN it looks like it was possibly made between 1911-1912. Overall the gun seems to be in pretty good condition for being almost 110 years old. The barrels are shiny without any pitting that I can see, the action locks up tight, and it has extractors.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

It is a Modell Nr. 8 but without sideclips. It has the blade type cocking indicators.

.

Welcome to SGW ! ! {hs#

IMO, it's well worth the asking (below the current BBGV levels) - but it doesn't hurt to offer less $$ ;)

Thank you everybody, I decided to go for it. Now off to find some 2.5'' 16 gauge shells.

Here you go. Better hurry as it seems they are out of stock except for a couple loads. If you can, you should get on 16ga.com and you will find many that shoot 2 1/2 inch 16s.
