I have a 1902 12ga 3e L.C.Smith with 30" barrels I'm curious as to current value. it's in very good condition, all original as far as i can tell. there's little case color remaining, barrels have a nice brown patina. locks up tight, and right of center. wood is in great shape, no dings, cracks, and wood to metal fit looks great. i have the factory letter as well.

.
You have what's known as a "graded" L.C. Smith ( Grade 3-E) - not a plain Field Grade.
The current BBGV states that their L.C.Smith values are meant only as a guide:
If the buttpad is factory original, a 80% original condition 3-E is worth $3K, +/-
If the buttpad is aftermarket, deduct 40%, so $1500, +/-
It's IMO a handsome gun.
