Fantastic post! Update on Bill Askins- he posts on quora.com answering questions about USMC, aviation, and horses. Interesting guy. Gun Digests are available on CD 1944-2019 from gundigeststore.com Cost is a little over $100 and a great shotgun resource.

This gun has not been hunted, just sits in the safe.
As much as I love it, I'm thinking about selling it.
The main stipulation, it MUST go to someone who appreciates it as much as I do. IMO, we don't actually own these kinda guns; we are their caretakers.
I'm thinking, with the provenance tying into info here. it should be worth around $5K.
If anyone is intereted or has some ideas, please PM or post.

This is one of those things that's hard to put a value on. I'd say put it on GunBroker with a reserve or a high starting bid to gauge interest.
