I will try to keep up lol. Well I got a fascination for the pre was supers after looking at one that a old boy I know showed me his. After already been a hardcore browning fan I had to have one i looked and looked in gun rooms and stalls at shows for years and then one day out of nowhere it was like it found me just about and when I push the top lever over a saw the number 72 I had to have it.

I came to the conclusion a while back that certain items seem to 'find' those who are most passionate about them and their history. I also believe that those who genuinely understand and appreciate the artistic, aesthetic, historical, and in some cases, personal aspects of these guns, tend to be less-concerned with their material value. This is 'collecting' in its truest sense.

I think u are probably correct. And since I got my first one a found a 60’s b1 with double triggers that was needing some tlc it’s looking really good now. But my real passion is for pre war super and I am working on getting another one at the mo so hopefully it will be in my cabinet by the end of the month.

Cowp69, thank you for chiming in. If you have a chance to post some pics, please do.

So here is a quick rundown of 1 and 2 digit Supers as we know it:
#1 is in the Browning Museum in Ogden
#22 and #29 sold in California and Utah, whereabouts now unknown
#31 with me in Texas (imported from England)
#44 bought new by Remington and sold at auction in 2011
#72, 75, and 77 in the UK
#95 in Australia

It would be cool to have a "registry" of sorts of the first 100 Superposeds.

Cowp69, Great looking gun! She looks not a day over 5 years old!
Monobloc barrels, normal for the first (several?) hundred guns, Non-Crossfire Vent rib, but the vent cuts are not see-thru, just like on my #31. Very odd design for a vent rib if I say so myself. Dual triggers, do you know if they're Twin Singles, i.e. each trigger can fire both barrels?
I think she's ready for another 90 years! :)
