Just a "heads up" here re the Champion (formerly Ram-Line) synthetic stock set for the (old model, not current manufacture) Browning A5 shotgun. These black, pressure molded with fiberglass pieces have been indicated as out of stock, discontinued, or back ordered on all sites I've checked for many, many moons now.

Recently I did a deep search on the manufacture item number, 55551, and found that Midwest Gun Works advertises this item as currently available. I thought it was probably a mistake, but I went ahead and ordered a set for grins and giggles. It now shows as in transit with a delivery date of this Thursday. Pic of the unit:

The price has been upped to $89 (plus $13 shipping to my address), but at least it is available again. Note there are guys on BrokeGunner and Fleabay who have been selling this item for $175 up to $300 a crack! Anyway, this MGW offering may be a good deal for someone who wants to save his/her original A5 wood from abuse, or who is interested in making a tactical or HD shotgun.

Here is the MGW link for this item. I have no relation to MGW other than as a previous customer (A5 stock mount stop screw for $10, ouch! :? )

Synthetic A5 stock set from MGW received today. This Champion branded product is identical to the old Ram-Line edition, including the packaging, save the printing. It has been assigned a new company stock number, 78111, though it is still identified on the MGW web site by the old Ram-Line number, 55551. A quick search on the new number shows the product is still listed as out of stock, discontinued, or back ordered on all sites I checked, save MGW.
