Has anyone tried any of the RST 2-1/2" 16ga loads in their new Browning Auto5 Sweet Sixteen? I'm curious if they work in the new gun. Mine seems to like the Remington Game Loads (1oz - 1200fps) best. It doesn't always extract Federal or Fiocchi (1oz 1165fps) but I only have about 250rds through it so far so I am still getting it broke in.

RST 2 1/2” shells are about double the price of 2 3/4” ammo. Why waste them?

I don't mind paying more... if they have them. It's all about availability.

I use the 12 gauge in my Double Auto, they function great and I get clean kills.

The Fiocchi lower velocity won’t cycle my new SW 16.

I had the same issue with Fiocchi and Federal although not every time... I'm hoping a little more break-in and cleaning resolve it. The Remington worked flawlessly. I will probably try the RST loads just to see if they work... just hoping maybe someone else has already....

RST shells cycle my short chambered Auto-5’s just fine. There’s no reason to think they wouldn’t cycle my 2 3/4” guns. Now this wasn’t the low pressure stuff, it says right on the box it’s for Auto-5’s and Remington Model 11’s. Note that the M11 was always a 2 3/4” gun.

They ran fine in mine. I tried a lot of different loads when I got mine including the RST 2-1/2's. I even mixed them in with heavy loads in the same magazine and they ran fine.
