I had an A5 20 ga when in high school nearly 50 years ago. Been shooting SxS’s mostly since then. Anyway, I just acquired two A5’s, a 20 and a 16. About how often ( how many rounds) do y’all take them down for cleaning?

Unless you want to buy special screw bits about all you can do is take the barrel off, run a patch through it and lightly oil the mag tube. A small (and I mean small) drop of oil in the receiver channels that the barrel runs in is all that's needed. The gun was made to run for a long time without taking the receiver apart.

Never, unless the gun gets dunked or a part breaks internally.

+1 about never. I've had a 1965 Magnum 20 since my Dad bought it new for me as a teenager. It's never been "apart" other than barrel cleaning and inside the receiver as can be reached. I sure wish he had not put the Cutts on the end.
