Hi have uploaded more pictures of the reciever of the superlight,so where the superlights made in Japan?.also have uploaded some pics of another a5 I have a earlier one .serial number 153693,but again I don't know if it has the right barrel.it has the serial nos on the reciever,bolt,stock and handguns,but not on the barrel.have uploaded the proof marks .the barrel has a x rib .

Hi have uploaded some more pictures of the superlight reciever.also uploaded pictures of another a5 I have.dont know if it's the right barrel for it.

Serial number 153693 was made in 1929. What’s more, it’s engraved, which was an expensive option. Your gun has considerable collector value. The barrel should have a matching serial number stamped at the base of the barrel ring. And, on this one, the date code will be among the proof marks.
I don’t think any Superlights were made in Japan. But I’ll dig out my book tomorrow and see what it says.
