That makes no sense to me!!! It looks like kg e a superlight, but 663 should be a grade 6. Maybe someone had a bad day stamping recievers?

yes it's interesting. i spent a good 40 minutes on the phone with browning, who could only tell me "we don't have a configuration code 663", although i've found it through other resources.

the gun is 3", 26" bbls, steel frame... i'm trying to think of anything else that could be useful to the guys who know what they're looking at, as i do not.

20 gauge Sporter, prior to Superlight.
I have one. It should be a 163 code.
Obviously, an error.

I was gonna guess Sporter, too. I was thinking the Sporter had 3" chambers while the Superlight had 2 3/4"?

So what am I looking at as far as value? It’s in good shape, blueing worn off on long tang and slightly on edges of receiver. I’m never selling, just always good to know.

According to The Blue Book at 90% condition the gun is worth $900. The gun was discontinued in 1983. You have a Grade 1 gun.
