...why we're supposed to shun the post 1966 Superposed.

And for that matter, the Flat Knob, Short Tang.
Not a lot of love for 26 1/2" barrels.
Skeet chokes? Fagetaboutit!
Aftermarket recoil pads? Pishaw!

Do you suppose the standards we choose for Superposed beauty are too rigid?
Have we set the bar so high that a goodly portion of Superposed production are deemed undesirable?

V9
26 1/2" vent rib, double silver bead.
Mod/IC (thank God)
FKST, Butt ugly butt.

Beautiful gun.
I like to own such an undesirable bird gun as this.

That is such an undesirable gun that I will out of compassion give you $300 to take it off your hands. Please let me know.

Very Nice!!
26-1/2" barrels are perfect.
If the recoil pad bugs you, it's an easy job to change and shape one. I just changed the recoil pad on my pre-war 'Super, to a Jostam Hy-Gun pad from Connecticut Shotguns.

Nice upland gun you got there!

Escutcheon looks good

Receiver wood to metal appears OK.

captjsjr, dude, it's the exact Browning from P.S.A and possibly saltwood.

They're only an hour away and a hands on inspection was a no brainer.
Probably the least affected, affected Superposed I've ever seen.
The mere whisper of "Salt" gave the consignor a bad case of the Heebie Jeebies.
I gave 1/3 the already ridiculously low asking price.
I've got plans.
I know a guy...

Did I mention it's a 20 gauge?

2lo , I didn’t realize you had bought this. A nice 20 ga. Pigeon is my holy grail.
If you intend to pull the stock off could you share a photo of the receiver internals.
Thanks for sharing this project with us.
