What am I missing, I can't find these in the Waterfowl Pro? I find the burnt bronze in quite a few places but not the brown version. Anyone know when these will be out?

Thanks Randy. I have been looking on Buds and Grab a Gun type sites, not GB.

I liked the Patriot Brown as soon as I saw it at the SHOT Show, but of course there is zero difference between the three different V3 Waterfowl Pro models except for cosmetics.

I also personally like Realtree Timber as a good all-purpose camo, and there is now a standard V3 in Realtree Timber that comes only with a 26 inch barrel, which I also prefer. https://www.remington.com/shotguns/auto ... ree-timber

Randy,

Is it possible to cut the barrel down to 26”. If so, can a gunsmith rethread so you can use the same chokes? If this can be done could you please recommend a company or two that can do the work?!

Thanks in advance

Sorry, no. If you'd like Realtree Timber camo and a 26 inch barrel, this is the way to go: https://www.remington.com/shotguns/auto ... ree-timber .

Based on my experience with my walnut (shot some skeets with it again this morning ), can`t imagine you not liking the gun, Speck.

Anyone have a picture that is not backlit? I can't see any definition there. Is this just a brown receiver/barrel and then camo stocks?

My brother painted his one 1187 that way...maybe 10 years back? Parker Duck Boat paint, maybe Marsh Grass. Duck guns look pretty nice that way.

I picked it on Friday and cleaned it real good. I had one minor concern as I took the bolt completely apart and it took a while to figure out how to get it back together. After a few minutes and all parts accounted for it went back together.

I took it to my lease yesterday and shot several rounds through it and no issues and it shot fine.

Next stop, hopefully Tuesday I get it to the trap and skeet range after work.

Congrats Speck! Let us know how it goes. Although it`s not the same V3 variant, I sure do like the way my walnut shoots. When I do my part, it flat hits targets.

Thanks sir.

I sold my walnut to get the part of the funds to buy this waterfowl pro. I already wish I didn't do it.

To tell the truth, a while back I thought I wanted to sell mine. Woke up one morning and said,"What the hell are you doing?". REALLY glad I came to my senses!

Went to the trap range with the new V3 and shot 21 out of 25 on the first box on doubles. The second box didn't go so well and lost count but probably missed 10 or so. I am sure it was the ammunition and not my shooting. :-)

One thing I did have to do was lengthen the stock as it was too short for me. What is odd is that I didn't need to do that on my old wood version. I have not looked at the specifications but I would figure they were the same length.

Either way, it was fun to get some shooting in on the new gun.

That is indeed interesting about the LOP. Like you, I would have expected them to be very close if not the same. I wouldn`t have thought to look it up prior to purchase either. That aside, you likee the gun?

They are.

However, the walnut comes with a spacer pre-installed.
