While looking for a youth 12 gauge for my daughter, I stumbled across an ad for an 11-87. The pictures he sent told the story that his ad didn't. Its the sporting clays model, from '92-97, extended stainless steel choke tubes, beautiful wood, and 28" LC target-only non-ported barrel. It is in like new condition. Barrel code says Jan 1997. Upon disassembly for cleaning, it looks like it has fired 1-2 boxes at most judging by the amount of carbon on the gas tube and wear in the action. Just in gorgeous condition and the wood has lots of character to it. Very pleased with this gun, and it will be torture waiting for spring. Pictures will follow soon.

Where do you live that you have to wait till spring? I'd be shooting that sucker this afternoon.

Very nice score, grouse man. I've always wanted to try one of those for a round or two. Let us know how it shoots when you thaw out up there.

Just did so, -11 degrees today and dropping to -16 by early next week. Wow, that's absolutely frigid!

There's not a mark on the wood that I can see. The only blemish on the metal is at the forward edge of the receiver, underneath where the fore end wood has rubbed off a tiny bit of bluing.

Somebody must make people live in that kind of cold! Surely nobody does that voluntarily. I guess there`s a reason nobody retires north!

Just kidding guys ( but only a little! )! {hs#

Alaska has the highest ratio of retired military of any other State in the USA.

And I think that's all. I don't think it's had 100 rounds through it.

That will change. :)
