 Post subject: 870 Special Field LW 20 ga

Just came in the mail, the Wingmaster collection is growing. Just wondering if this one is interchangeable with the other 20 ga Wings. I had heard the barrels were a bit different, but I cannot see it. Any input with good/bad stories would be great....

I think the difference is that the barrel guide ring is closer to the recoil lug end of the barrel because the mag tube is shorter on the special field models, so it won’t interchange with normal barrels.

Yes, and if he lays them side by side it’ll be very clear, even without removing the barrels.

Not sure about 870 SF but I do know that the 1100 SF barrels ARE interchangeable with regular 1100 . You do have to use the SF Forend due to the shorter mag tube.
The barrel lug rides farther down the mag tube because the SF m9dles can't hold as many shells

LW 870 SF and regular barrels ARE different. 1100 SF and regular barrels are the same.
