For those of you who really know about the old 3200’s please look at this and tell me if it is. There is something about the rib that looks funky.

Appears to be an early 3200 trap w/chokes IM & full and MC stock. Dot by the serial number implies updates have been done (would prefer to see breech face to see allen head screws and examine fire pin holes---extensive shooting will show elongated/oval holes). Factory rib has been removed and aftermarket rib added (Why?). Look like a reasonably clean gun---they had great triggers !
regards
Bob

It appears to me the rib was replaced with a higher one. I am guessing someone like Simmons did it. The barrel length, 30, and chokes, full and IMP/MOD agree with factory made trap guns.
It is a very early model, that was retrofitted with the upgrade to the trigger plate design. You can tell because it has 2 pins at the rear of receiver. After the trigger design was done on newer guns the lower pin was no longer there. It says upgrades done, but that does not tell you much, because most people only know about that trigger plate design change. There were more upgrades than that, breech face hardened plate, forearm metal plate added to keep it from bending over time.

Of course Simmons did the rib. It says so on the left side of the rib.
