I have nowhere learned how to decipher the lot number on a box of Remington shot shells. I do know the well-known method to decode Winchester lot numbers to learn the date of manufacture.

I wish to know the dates of manufacture of two red white and blue boxes of Remington All American Trap Loads made circa 1970-1972, with lot numbers A S 27 P 9 and A T 19 R 10. Perhaps 9=September and perhaps 10=October. Perhaps 27 and 19 are the days of the corresponding months. Even if that is correct, I still do not know how to extract the year. Would anyone care to help so that I can resolve a current thread on the General Forum? Thank you very much!

The lot number of the pre - All American trap Loads, circa 1964 - 1967, is B C 10 H 10.

The lot number of the All American Trap Loads, circa 1971-1972, is A S 27 P 9.

The lot number of another box of All American trap Loads, circa 1971-1972, is A T 19 R 10.

It is evident that the Remington lot numbering system was unchanged from 1964 - 1972. Any leads for me?
