With the turmoil of the Remington sale still churning I thought it interesting if forum participants might want to take this opportunity to recommend products to the new owners. I seriously doubt that Roundhill reads theses pages, but you never know, they may want to learn what dedicated shooters want.

Without any consideration of the market place, and regardless of the volume potential of anything, here is my self centered list.

I want:

A 20 gauge V3 scaled to the shell. Not a 20 in a 12 action.

A well turned out V3. 12 and 20. Polished blued metal, walnut with some grain, oil finish, cut checkering.

A 28 and 410 870 with 28 inch barrels and choke tubes. Express and Wingmaster.

A 32/3200 in all gauges. 32 and 30 inch barrels. Choke tubes. Balance weights. Stocked for field and sporting. Oil finished wood.

A stainless model 7 with 24 inch barrel and varmint wood in 7.62 x 39 mm.

What do you want? Something altogether different?

Wow Dward... I would give them the same wish list (maybe with that Model 7 in 7.62x39 or 30-30).

I'm not into centerfire rifles at all, and my Model 12 20 gauge will be my last pump gun, so my comment excludes those elements.

As to your others, most everybody would like to see a scaled 20 V3...it would sell. Ditto upscale Sporting versions V3 as you listed. Shims, weights, larger bolt handles and bolt closers would be nice also.

The 32/3200 will remain whimsy I'm afraid.

I wouldn't hold my breath though...with the possible exception of the 20 ga. V3. But they gotta make a profit and remain viable, and tooling is very expensive. So even that might be a long shot.

The 870s have the best shot on your list to actually happen I think. As I said, I'm not qualified to guess on the rifle.

It's fun to dream though.

Sure is. JMO, but I think they could do a lot with the v3 platform and Versaport gas system. It`ll be interesting to see how many " votes " the V3 variants get. They are good guns already.

Since this is pie in the sky dreaming, I’ll take a recoil semi auto, like the 11-48. In 12 & 20, just like the old ones with steel & walnut but synthetic options are ok. An all stainless 783 rifled slug gun with a Monte Carlo stock. I was going to say a good made in the USA over/under with excellent handling and durable parts but, ah heck, give me a pair of those too.

V3 in 3 different competition configurations. Sporting, Skeet and Trap
with a light target barrel and good balance. The Skeet and Sporting in 4 gauges.
A V3 Competition Synthetic if we can't have all those others.
The gas system should be re engineered for light target loads down to 3/4 oz.
as the heaviest hunting load capability won't be needed.
A return to the Wingmaster Trap in TA,TB and TC grades. The TA can be the Express Trap
they started before bankruptcy. The TB & TC must be Wingmasters.

A well made 3200 would certainly catch my attention.

Your responses made me think a little further. I’d add another item to my wish list.

Never rebadge a foreign gun with the Remington name. I think it would show a lack of dedication to building quality.

Bring back the 25" barrel 28 gauge in 1100 and 870.

As I understand it, the Remington name was sold to another piece buyer. Unless they make a deal, the new guns may have to be made under a different name.

NewRem or RemNow come to mind....or maybe 1816 Arms.

Vista, I believe , owns the brand name. Roundhill has not been hesitant to use “ Remington “ when discussing the company and the future.

20 gauge V3 version and models specifically for clays...sporting, trap, and skeet. Hope it happens!

I'm in for a target V3 variant ala the 1100 competition synthetic. And yes I would prefer a synthetic stocked version with enough drop and cant to support a woman as well as a man.

I like the idea of the M32 being built in America again. It won't happen though, because it is pretty much a competition type clays gun, and the market for that is pretty small.

Heavy barrel 22 250 700 CDL, fast twist for heavy bullets, may rechamber to 22250 AI.

Would love another 870 Wingmaster, but they will need to prove they can put out quality before I buy either.

Nothing to prove to me. All my Remington guns have been flawless, going back to the early 80’ s
through my last purchase of a V3 walnut a couple of years ago. Of course, I try to take care of them. As for the Wingmaster, I don’t recall too many complaints, even with the current iterations.

My two recent Remington shotguns have been flawless.

I’m a little disappointed by the lack of whimsy in this “Pure whimsy” post.

I’d like a traditional looking semi auto hunting rifle (the 760) chambered in some straight wall cartridges, like the 350 Legend, 450 Bushmaster, etc.

For real daydreaming, they could offer quality control that eliminates any buyer’s remorse.
