I’m a little disappointed by the lack of whimsy in this “Pure whimsy” post.

I’d like a traditional looking semi auto hunting rifle (the 760) chambered in some straight wall cartridges, like the 350 Legend, 450 Bushmaster, etc.

For real daydreaming, they could offer quality control that eliminates any buyer’s remorse.

As far as wanting quality control eliminating any buyer`s remorse, I`ll go along with that......for everything that`s manufactured. Guns to airplanes to clothes to trucks to....everything. There`s not a thing built that doesn`t have issues. IMHO, as a company, it`s what you do about those issues that really counts.

Nothing you wish for from whatever Remington could offer?

:) Oh, absolutely, although it`s really not all that " whimsical " I guess. I`ve never been a rifle or pistol guy, the only time I`ve ever really been involved with either was when I was working for the government ( know what I mean ? ). My hunting and shooting just turned out to be with shotguns growing up until now. Based on the excellent service I`ve received thus far from my V3 walnut, I`d be sorely tempted by an upgraded ( nicer wood, deep blued, checkered ) 20 gauge V3 to match my current 12.

{hs# Excellent thought but I would want a 26 inch barreled 20 gauge, with straight grip stock and upgraded wood.

That would be sweet. Our chances of getting them are at least as good as winning the Irish Sweepstakes.

Ithaca already does that at times. It’s the 37.

I'm cheap. I just want an Express 20 gauge with a short barrel and a straight stock for grouse hunting.

True, but it’s not a Remington.

If Ithaca hadn't had to wait for Remington's patent to expire it could have been the Model 36.

I do not trust Remington's dating service accuracy. If they were Match.com, you could end up with Nancy Pelosi.

I think originally it was going to be the 33.

Nobody wants an 870 Express Trap? There is a “new model” on the Remington home page.

I bought one. Nice gun. Nothing wrong with it at all. I wouldn't want to shoot Trap doubles with it, but I did manage to hit a True Pair while shooting Five Stand.
