I was wondering why Remington shotguns have sort length of pull, I am not a game shooter, just targets but I really enjoy shooting 1100's or 1187's My Premier Skeet has a LOP of just 14 1/4 inches and my1100 only 14". Is it due to the need for a quick mount when game is spotted, or the layers of clothing typically worn? Each of my guns I have lengthened to 15" to fit my gangly arms. Thanks for your thoughts

Why do you have gangly arms?

Maybe because those stock dimensions haven't changed in 60 years while people have?

It is hardly unique to Remington: a Browning Maxus has a 14-1/4 inch length of pull. Many Winchester SXP's are 13-3/4 inch length of pull: https://www.winchesterguns.com/products ... bitat.html .
